Since 1993, Dr. Alexander has been successfully treating people with a wide range of allergies. Many of these allergies were so severe that they radically impacted the patient’s quality of life and limited their activities or their food choices. In some cases these people were unable to eat in restaurants for fear of coming in contact with a substance they were allergic to.
Dr. Alexander uses a variety of alternative techniques to relieve or eliminate most allergies. More specifically, NAET (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) and the BioAllergenix BAX 3000, a computer assisted technique based on the principles used in NAET.
Traditional Western medicine defines an allergy is an inappropriate or exaggerated reaction of the immune system to substances that, in the majority of people, causes no symptoms. These substances are called allergens.
When we think of allergies, most of us think of the common reactions:
• Sneezing
• Coughing
• Difficulty breathing
• Runny nose
• Itchy eyes
• Hives
• Skin Redness and/or swelling

The traditional Western medical approach to treating allergies is to put the patient through a series of skin or patch testing procedures. Needles, each containing a possible allergen, are used to scratch the surface of the skin in a pre-determined sequence. When a scratch mark creates a red, itchy patch that substance is then identified as an allergen.

Once allergens are identified the patient is given a shot containing minute amounts of the offending allergen. The theory is that over time the body will develop a tolerance for that substance. This process is repeated weekly or monthly, sometimes for years, before a positive effect is noticed. Sometimes the allergy never goes away.
